The Gaustatoppen can now be reached by everybody

If you feel that the hike is too much for you, you can reach the summit by the “Gaustabanen”. An spectacular cable car in the center of the mountain. This cable car was built for military purposes.

Now, after all approvals of the safety authorities it can be used as a tourist attraction.

Gaustatoppen is the most photographed mountain in Norway. Every year appr. 30.000 people undertake the trip to the summit. Now, with the Gaustabanen, Gaustatoppen is available for everyone, especially for those who for various reasons, are excluded from talking in the mountains.
