By car

It is also possible to drive all the way, from Amsterdam to Oslo is appr. 1390 km.

From Amsterdam over the “afsluitdijk” to Groningen, Bremen, Hamburg and then at Flensburg / Frøslev you will pass the border to Danmark.

Or from Amsterdam to Hengelo, Bremen, Hamburg and then at Flensburg / Frøslev you will pass the border to Danmark.

At Kolding you follow the signs to Copenhagen. First you will drive over the bridge which connects Jutland and Fynn. After that you arrive at the 18km long Store Belt bridge (toll). This is the connecting between the Danish islands Fynn and Sjæland. At Copenhagen follow the signs towards Malmø. The connection between Danmark and Sweden is the 16km long Øresund bridge- and tunnel. Then towards Gøteborg and Oslo.

From Oslo and Larvik

Drive to Kongsberg, from there follow road E134 towards Notodden. Appr. 16km after Notodden you take a turn to the right, into the direction of road 37 and Rjukan. Road 37 follows the lake Tinnsjø. At the end of this lake you come on a junction, there you turn left into the direction of Rjukan.

After appr. 5km there is a sign for the camping. Just 1km after that sign you see on your left Rjukan Hytte- og Caravanpark.

By plane

Daily several flights are available from Amsterdam to Oslo. The flight takes appr. 1,5hrs. On the airport Oslo you will find several car rental companies.

By public transport
